INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF IMAM

Required Islamic Knowledge Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited Islamic University (or equivalent). Equivalent qualifications will also be considered.
• Detailed Knowledge of at least one school of Fiqh and broad knowledge of the other schools of Fiqh.
• Excellent Tajweed and proper pronunciation of the Quranic verses.
• Fluency in English and a good understanding of Arabic.

Required Personal Skills:

• A passionate, creative and energetic Leader
• Ability to connect to Muslims from different age groups, especially the youth and children.
• Ability to relate to Muslims from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• North-American living experience and ability to relate to non-Muslims.
• Computer and social media skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others.

Additional Assets:

• Hafiz of the Quran.
• Prior experience as community Imam.
• Counseling experience.

Salary and Benefits:

These will be based on qualifications and experience.
