Our Imam

Shaykh Abubakar Mulla is the Imam, Scholar and Director of religious services at the Islamic Society of Kingston.

He holds multiple ijāzas (licenses) in the Islamic Sciences.

Shaykh Abubakar graduated in 2005 from the ʿĀlimiyyah program at Darul Uloom Al Madania. He has served as an Imam in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) for over a decade and has been serving the Kingston community for the past ten years.

Shaykh Abubakar Mulla regularly delivers classes and lectures across a broad range of Islamic sciences, including ʿAqeedah, Fiqh, Tafsir, Hadith, and Seerah. His teaching focuses on grounded scholarship, practical application, and fostering a deep, meaningful connection to faith within the community.
